We will be upgrading the identity service between 09:00 and 12:00 on the 6 December 2022.
The identity service will operate in a read-only mode from 10:00 until 11:00. Authentication requests will continue to be served during this period, meaning obtaining and validating authentication tokens (including internal tokens used between the different services and ec2 credential validation for the S3 API on object storage) will operate normally. However, you will not be able to add/create users, enable/disable MFA or change your password.
In the unlikely even that the upgrade encounters issues, then you might experience the following impacts during the upgrade period:
- The dashboard would be unusable - Command line tools (e.g. OpenStack CLI) and orchestration tools (e.g. Terraform and Ansible) would be unusable. - Private object store containers would be unavailable. - Other resources (e.g. compute and clusters) would continue to run, but you wouldn't be able to make changes to these resources.
Further communications will be issued via Status Page as necessary.
